The member driven Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics teaches people of all ages how to enjoy the outdoors responsibly, and is the most widely accepted outdoor ethics program used on public lands.

Irvine Nature Center’s visitors are invited to explore their 116 acres of woodlands, wetlands and meadows; enjoy their resident animals; and their interactive exhibit hall free of charge. Irvine has emerged as a leader among Mary­land’s environmental education centers and incorporates a unique and comprehensive focus on the natural science of the Piedmont into its interactive exhibit hall and educational programming.

Masonville Cove Nature Center is located on the water at the north end of Brooklyn.  Connected with Living Classrooms, it offers environmental programs for school and community groups.  The grounds have nature trails and a public pier.  The center offers free weekend classes for children.
