Enrichment Trips and Programs

Enrichment trips afford us the opportunity to extend learning beyond our campus and into our community.

Almost every month we go on an Enrichment Trip.  Each year the lineup of enrichment trips is unique.  Past trips include Downs Park, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Maryland Science Center, the Baltimore Zoo, the National Aquarium, Rolly Pollies, Patapsco State Park, Chesapeake Children’s Museum, Clark’s Elioak Farm, and Irvine Nature Center.  Enrichment trips also give our parents and siblings a chance to enjoy the friendship and  fun involved with being part of our community!

We bring unique enrichment programs to our children at our school campus too.  Catriona’s Castle visits to put on a theatrical production with the children.    Anne Arundel County Library librarians also visit our classes to share a special story time.

Additionally, our classes spend a full class day at Downs Park in the Fall and Spring.  They go hiking on scavenger hunts, build tee pees and learn about the Chesapeake Bay.  Why not have school at the park??

Finally, each class has monthly playdates.  The Class Coordinator and class parents work together to coordinate an opportunity each month for families to enjoy a local park or attraction while getting to know each other better.
