Preschool Admission

Thank you for your interest in our preschool. We are very proud of the exciting learning environment we have here and would love for you to join us if our program sounds like the right fit for your family.

A preschool program is your child’s first step into the academic world.  Our school is an excellent bridge between home and elementary school since your child is learning with their parents’ involvement.   Subsequently, the cooperative is an excellent way to overcome separation anxiety for both the child and parent.  Your child will have the opportunity to express themselves through art, music and play as they explore our three spacious classrooms (two indoors and one outside) with various learning areas.

As a cooperative preschool, parents work with the teacher and teacher's assistant, guiding their children, watching them grow socially and academically.  By helping in the classroom, our parents know their child is getting the best of both worlds…family and school.   Students at Magothy Cooperative Preschool benefit from caring, like-minded parents, who share in their learning and growth.  With such an important common cause, the adults form lifelong friendships right along side their children.

A Cooperative Preschool is a bit different than the traditional preschool. Family involvement and participation is not just integral to your preschool experience but essential to the day in and day out operations of our program. It is important to understand the Family Requirements and determine if they are a good fit for your family prior to registering. Details for Family Requirements can be found on the Cooperative tab.
